Man-made underground passage in Caherbarnagh

In pasture, on N-facing foothills of Derrynasaggart Mountains. Discovered in 1988 during land improvement. Two roughly rectangular earth-cut chambers joined by creepway. Chamber 1: (L c. 4.6m; max. Wth 2m; H 1.2m; long axis NW-SE); present access at SE end through partially collapsed barrel-vaulted roof; creepway (L 1.75m; Wth 0.6m; H 0.6m; long axis WNW-ESE) at SE end to N end of chamber 2. Chamber 2: much collapsed (long axis roughly N-S) and of similar dimensions to chamber 1. Construction shaft shared by both chambers.
