What is recorded here

Indicated is a standing stone in County Cork, marked on an 1842 map but never named or seen since. It may have stood in pasture on a south-facing slope, or the surveyor may have recorded a mistake. Either way, the place keeps a small phantom shape: a stone absent from the land but still present in the drawing.

Indicated as standing stone, but not named, only on 1842 OS 6-inch map. In pasture, on S-facing slope. No visible surface trace.
