What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Lugateane, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a north-facing slope where an overgrown earthen bank and outer fosse surround an oval grass-covered area. The northern perimeter is partly quarried, while two other raths sit within a short distance to the southwest and southeast.
On a N-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (dims 43m E-W; 35m N-S) defined by a gapped and overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4.2-5.7m; int H 0.5-1m; ext. H 1-1.9m) ENE-S-NW which is reduced to a scarp (H 1.4m) elsewhere, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 3.6m at W to 4.5m at S; D 0.4-0.9m) NE-S-W. There is no visible entrance, and the perimeter at N is partly quarried. Rath (RO017-018----) is c. 110m to the SW and rath (RO017-020----) is c. 150m to the SE.
