What is recorded here

Indicated is a hidden crannog at the west end of Dromore Lough, preserving a small human dwelling within a much larger aquatic landscape. The mound measures eleven metres across and rises one point two metres above the lake bed, yet vegetation has erased every angle, edge and made surface that would prove intentional construction. It remains a crannog only because location, shape and regional tradition align. A person may have stood there in water up to the knees, looking across Dromore Lough toward land that no longer appears on any drawing.

Located towards the W end of Dromore Lough (max. dims c. 350m E-W; c. 180m N-S). This is an overgrown earth and stone mound (diam. 11m N-S; H 1.2m) with no visible surface evidence of artificial construction.
