What is recorded here

Rathbaun is a square earthwork in Ballyhurst, County Limerick, where a 1.45 metre bank and partial ditch still trace an early medieval defended farmstead. Cattle have cut new gaps through the northwest and northeast sides, proving the fort remains part of the living landscape rather than a dead relic. The west-southwest entrance may preserve the original human opening, while modern use has rewritten the rest.
Rathbaun is recorded as a archaeological place in County Limerick. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
