One rectangular stone still blocks the eastern slope of Knocknafreaghane, overlooking the Ardsheelhane valley. It may have marked a boundary, a burial or a meeting place, yet no human name has survived to explain why it was set there.

This stone, located on top of a hill on the lower E slopes of Knocknafreaghane, commands an impressive vista to N along the Ardsheelhane river valley. Of rectangular elevation, it stands 1.3m high and has an oval basal plan measuring 1.2m x .35m; NNE-SSW. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
