Structure

A piece of brushwood (diam. 0.02m) in well-humified Sphagnum peat containing large pockets of Eriophorum and some ericaceous remains. A slightly larger piece occurs at a similar depth in the opposing drain face. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
