The name records an absence rather than a visible monument, marking a place where a tomb was once suspected but no remains could be confirmed. It appears in Seán Ó Nualláin's 1989 survey of County Sligo, where even an empty or uncertain site was judged worth recording because the county holds some of Ireland's densest Neolithic tomb landscapes.
