Semi-detached two-bay two-storey house, built c.1915, with full-height canted bay, single-storey canted bay to gable elevation, two-bay two-storey yellow brick return and later extensions c. 1930-1960. Pitched slate roof, terracotta ridge tiles, red brick chimneystack to gable, rendered above roof level, ogee moulded cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted red brick walls laid in English garden wall bond with projecting eaves and plinth course and blind recessed panels below first floor windows, square-headed window openings with rock-faced granite lintels and granite sills and round-arched door opening formed in voussoired rock-faced granite with keystone and moulded red brick impost moulds. Two-over-two timber sash windows with ogee horns and coloured leaded overlights, original pine doorcase set within aluminum glazed porch with replacement double-leaf panelled door and leaded coloured glass sidelights. Door opens onto porch with original tiling, and concrete and granite steps to concrete pavement through front lawn enclosed to street by wrought-iron railing on granite plinth wall with pedestrian gate. Pair of tall red brick piers to east and tarmacadam drive to detached two-bay two-storey rendered dwelling built c. 2007 to rear garden, replacing former coach house.

One of ten semi-detached, substantial and well-proportioned early twentieth century townhouses that form an attractive and elegant assemblage along Kellyville Park. They retain their historic appearance and much of their original external fabric . The retention of the group's original railings adds to its streetscape value. In addition no.2 retains its original sash windows and leaded coloured lights. They stand out in the otherwise modest streetscape and make a positive contribution to the architectural landscape of the periphery of Portlaoise town.
