What is recorded here

Indicated is a hut site in Knockroe (boyle By., Killummod Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a narrow terrace above a small west-east stream, forming a circular grass-covered area six point eight metres across. An earthen bank surrounds the circle, with a one-metre entrance at the east and a Rath located one hundred and ten metres to the northwest.
Marked similarly on the 1837 and 1914 eds. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a narrow terrace overlooking a small W-E stream immediately to the S. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 6.8m) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.7m at W to 3.2m at N; int. H 0.2-0.4m; ext. H 0.55-0.8m) with an entrance (Wth 1m) at E.
