What is recorded here
Indicated is a fairy fort in County Mayo, an earthen ring where human history has thinned into suggestion. The soil may have held a household, a boundary or a forgotten ritual before it became a marker for what cannot be fully known. Its name does more than identify; it points. In that gesture is the whole of the place, a circle drawn around absence and still capable of being seen.
