On NW-facing slope. Thin lense (L 1m; D 0.10m) of grey clayey soil, with frequent large charcoal fragments and some stone fragments of burnt appearance, exposed in section of forestry trench. Two small heaps of upcast from trench are of similar composition. Group of four fulachta fiadh (15268, 15269, 15270, 15271) to SW. (O'Shaughnessy 1997) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
