Kinallyduff holds a forgotten ringfort on a drumlin crest, visible only through an 1834 map line rather than earth. That disappearance suggests human hands built, used and abandoned the site before memory faded. The land may have swallowed the boundary while people continued living around it.

Located at the crest of the S-facing slope of a drumlin. It is depicted as an embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 30m) described as a ‘fort’ in gothic lettering only on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map. No archaeological feature is visible at ground level in pasture. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
