Kilskeer holds a lost rectangular church, buried fifty metres east of the graveyard and defined only by faint ditch marks in the soil. The surrounding fields still display large enclosures from an old field system, suggesting a busy settlement rather than a lonely shrine. St. Scíre’s name remains attached to the place, but the building itself has vanished beneath grass and time.

There are large enclosures from the field system (ME016-044----) in the fields surrounding St. Scíre’s early church site (ME016-043----). An archaeo-magnetic survey in these fields identified a small rectangular building (dims c. 10m E-W; c. 6m N-S) c. 50m E of the graveyard, which is defnied by ditch features and interpreted as a possible church.
