Freestanding quadrant entrance gateway, erected 1911, comprising rubble limestone sweep walls with dressed limestone copings, and having square-profile dressed limestone inner and outer piers, with plinths, moulded string courses, cornices and caps, inner piers having carved lion finials and decorative double-leaf cast-iron gates. Cut-stone wheel guards to front of gateway.

This entrance provides a notable feature along the road and is enhanced by the curved sweep walls and their regular copings. The piers are well executed and they, together with the finely crafted finials, identical to those at nearby Hazelwood House, add elegance to the entrance.
