Killoveeny is an empty field in County Mayo where a boulder burial disappeared during land reclamation. The slope faces southwest, the grass grows thick, and the stones that once marked death have vanished into soil or distance. What remains is a local story told without proof, a shape of loss rather than a hole in the ground.
