Toberiney is a holy well for St Aighne at the base of the Magharees peninsula in County Kerry. People walked there before sunrise in May and June, especially on the 24th of June, to drink from its stone-edged pool or walk the small stream flowing north-west from it. The water may have refreshed tired bodies, cleared fevers or simply marked the longest day with cleanliness and prayer.

Toberiney/Tobar Éinne (St Aighne\Aignech): Located about 500m to N of Cill Einne (KE036-003003-), at the base of the Magharees peninsula. The well consists of a large pool which is partly defined by stones as is one side of the small stream which flows NW from it. It was visited in the early morning in the months of May and June, especially the 24th of June (Ó Danachair 1960, 74). Toberiney is associated with St. Aighne (or Aignech), a lesser-known early Irish saint, and is linked to local traditions of healing and protection. The well's name, Tobar Éinne, reflects its dedication to the saint, and such sites were often visited for ritual washing or drinking as part of seasonal or personal devotions.
