What is recorded here

Killinagh castle hides beneath a nineteenth-century farm building in County Kildare, its ancient foundation walling still visible under later bricks. Ash lived there decades ago, sharing the odd enclosed space with a restless herd. The castle did not disappear; it waited underneath the farm, patient and occupied.
According to the OSL (Herity 2002, 33), ' … part of an old castle remains; A man named Ash lived in it about 30 years ago; it is still inhabited by a herd' . On level ground in open, gently undulating pastureland. A short portion of foundation walling projecting from underneath a later, 19th century farm building may form part of the remains of the castle.
