What is recorded here
Killerrig in County Carlow once held two cists and vessels beside the first recorded site. People dug them open in the 1870s, took what they wanted, and destroyed the rest. The dead lost their chambers while the living gained a momentary trophy.
Two cists and vessels (see also CW008-006003-) were found in the same locality as that recorded at CW008-006001-, but subsequently destroyed (JRSAI 1872-3, 252).
