What is recorded here

Situated on a slight rise in a low-lying landscape with a W-E stream c. 70m to the S and a S-N stream c. 110m to the E. This is a rectangular scrub and furze-covered area (dims. 27.5m E-W; 22.5m N-S) defined by low banks (at E: Wth 6m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 1.8m) and external fosses or dry moats (at E: Wth of top 6m; Wth of base 3m; D 0.6m) on every side except the N where there is a scarp (H 1m). Killegney motte (WX024-043----) is c. 280m to the ENE and Killegney church (WX024-045001-) is c. 300m to the SE on the other side of the S-N stream.
