What is recorded here

The site (L 3.2m min.; Wth 2m; D 0.09m) is orientated WNW-ESE and consists of brushwood and roundwoods laid predominantly in a transverse position with some longitudinal elements running above or below these pieces. The wood is sparsely distributed but the site may be been more substantial prior to milling. A number of pieces show evidence for woodworking and tearing. The wood is in good condition. The site sits in well-humified Sphagnum peat containing Eriophorum and fibrous roots with an area of poorly humified Sphagnum towards the centre of the site. Date of upload: 08 August 2013
