Structure

A single oak plank (L 1.7m; Wth 0.2m; D 0.035m) in the drain face. The plank is radially split and appears to be worked to a wedge point at one end. A piece of heavy brushwood is located in the opposing drain face but its association is unclear. The site may represent a disturbed togher but no direct associations with similarly composed sites could be discerned. SMR OF007-130----, an oak plank togher, is located c. 4m to the N. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
