Structure

Two pieces of brushwood on the field surface (L 1.7m; Wth 0.25m; D 0.1m min.). The brushwood is widely spaced and orientated E-W. One of the pieces has been cut and torn into a wedge point. The site is situated in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1997. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
