Monastic Mills is a memorial in County Kilkenny, Ireland. Perhaps monks redirected the Duiske water around c.1200 to power grain and wool work. Maybe the churn of stones and hammers still echoes beneath the grass. Imagine men bending over sieves while mill wheels turned in the dark.
