Terraced two-bay two-storey house, built 1904, with box bay window to left ground floor. Reroofed. One of a group of four. Pitched (shared) roof (hipped to bay window) with replacement artificial slate, clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond (shared) chimney stack, and iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls with rendered strip to end. Square-headed window openings (in tripartite arrangement to box bay window) with painted sills, rendered surrounds, and one-over-one timber sash windows having one-over-one sidelights to tripartite opening. Square-headed door opening with moulded rendered surround, and timber panelled door having overlight. Set back from line of road with unpainted rendered plinth supporting decorative iron railings, and iron gate.

A pleasantly-appointed modest-scale house built as one of a group of four identical units (remainder in group not included in survey) identified in the streetscape by elegant attributes including a box bay window incorporating a Wyatt-derived tripartite arrangement, and so on, all of which enhance the architectural design value of the composition. Having been well maintained the house remains as the last in the group to present an early aspect with substantial quantities of the historic fabric surviving in place, thereby contributing positively to the character of Black Mill Street.
