What is recorded here

Indicated is a small natural island in Inishmuck Lough, County Cavan, sitting sixty metres from the shore with a rough quern as its only claimed witness. That single stone suggests people stood there, ground grain, and left before the water erased the rest. The lake keeps the absence alive: a crannog less for what it shows than for what it withholds.
