Man-made underground passage in Inishbeg

On Inishbeg Island, in the estuary of the Ilen River. According to local information, there is a Man-made underground passage at the W end of the island and it consists of two stone-lined tunnels and one chamber. Its precise location is not known and enquiries made in 2004 did not lead to any further information about it. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
