In pasture, on top of a small knoll, named ‘Knockcahill’ on the 1838 and 922 OS 6-inch maps. The knoll has a pronounced slope to S and E. It overlooks areas of wettish ground to N and S–SW. This enclosure encompasses the summit of the knoll. It consists of a roughly circular raised area (12.8m ENE–WSW; c. 10m NNW–SSE) defined WSW–NE by an earthen scarp (H 1.5-1.7m), quite vertically cut, and topped in parts with a low internal rim (Wth 1.7m) of earth and stone; elsewhere the scarp is levelled, merging seamlessly with the sloping sides of the knoll.
