Hut site in Inchincoosh

In rough hill pasture, between ridges of outcropping rock to the N and S, on a W-facing slope. The remains of a rectangular hut site (2.7m E-W; 2.3m N-S) defined by a drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 1.5m). The outcropping rock forms the base of the N wall. Overlapping slabs along the upper reaches of the N wall suggests possible corbelling. There is an entrance (Wth 0.75m) at the S end of the E wall. The W portion of the interior is raised (H 1.2m) and the E portion is cut (D 1.1m) into the upslope to compensate for the hillslope. The interior is covered in ferns and rushes.
