Lisnaleagh, the ringfort of stone mounds, stands on rising Kerry land where three buried shapes still mark the ground inside a rectangular enclosure. The northern bank has blurred into ordinary field edges, yet the interior remains higher than the surrounding country, preserving a small elevated chamber that may have served worship, memory or domestic life. Its name disappeared from later maps, but the stones and chamber keep the place recognizable beneath changing boundaries.

Lisnaleagh/Lios na Leacht (ringfort of the mounds of stones). This map designation appears on the 1842 edition OS map, but does not appear on the 1916 edition. Univallate rath KE014-006 situated on rising land which is gently sloping N, the N through E sectors of the enclosing bank have been incorporated into fieldbanks and are therefore somewhat distorted. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land. In the S sector is a rectangular enclosure (KE014-006004-), 15m x 20m internally, constructed of stone. Within this enclosure are three mounds constructed of stones (KE014-006001-, KE014-006002- and KE014-006003-). The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’.
