Three graves emerged in Graney West during the 1953 excavation, holding a cremation with bone pendants, a crouched adult beside broken food vessels, and two adult males sharing a cist with two bowls. The dead did not leave empty space; they left behind the shapes of sustenance and ornamentation. Perhaps they believed hunger and identity continued beyond breathing, prompting the living to pack earth around memories rather than forget them.
