Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Gortnagoyne, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a level landscape at the bottom of a north-facing slope. A circular grass-covered area measures thirty-three metres north-northwest to south-southeast and thirty-one point two metres east-northeast to west-southwest. An earthen bank with furze surrounds the centre, separated by a rounded fosse from an outer bank on the north, south and west sides.
On a level landscape at the bottom of a N-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 33m NNW-SSE; 31.2m ENE-WSW) defined by an earthen bank with furze (Wth 2.5-3.9m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 0.8-1.3m) separated by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 8-9m; Wth of base 5-7m; D 0.4m) from an outer bank (Wth 2.5-4m; H 0.1-0.3m) N-S-W, the fosse being replaced by a band of rushes (Wth 4m) W-N.
