Saint Finian's Church (Newcastle)

Single-cell family mausoleum, erected 1801. Coursed rubble stone walls, originally rendered. Doorway in west gable with simple granite block and start surround and plain iron gate. Commemorative plaque above door. Timber-framed barrel vaulted roof, partly collapsed and covered by vegetation.

This mausoleum, though simple in form and execution, and in poor condition, is a valuable reminder of the importance formerly attached to this church site. Its presence in the graveyard adds further variety to the collection of grave markers.
