In broad rolling grasslands on the floor of the Goul river valley, though well above the flood plain. There are fine views in all directions. A raised oval area (max. dims. c. 76m NE-SW, c. 53m NW-SE tapering to 24m at the NE end), enclosed by slight traces of a low, wide earthen bank (int. H c. 0.1-0.2m; ext. H c. 0.4m) around its perimeter.
