What is recorded here

Garranmaconly holds a hidden field boundary beside its ringfort, visible only in aerial photographs rather than on the ground. The missing bank may have marked a home, a garden or a sacred limit, yet no human hand has touched that edge for centuries. Forgetting has not erased the shape, but it has removed the meaning, leaving a ghost line floating above ordinary soil.

Not marked on the 1841 or 1909 editions of the OS 6-inch maps. A field bank, extending to the E and NW of ringfort (LA021-015001-) is visible on aerial photographs (GSI, S 79-80).
