What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or ringfort in Garranbaun, County Waterford, Ireland. The 1840 Ordnance Survey six-inch map marked it as a circular embanked enclosure with an external diameter of about 45 metres. The 1999 Archaeological Inventory recorded it in pasture towards the top of a southwest-facing slope, but it was not visible at ground level during that account.
Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 45m) on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. Situated in pasture towards the top of a SW-facing slope, it is not visible at ground level.
