What is recorded here

Half a cross-slabs stands 6.6m south of the Gallow church, leaning east with a pierced hole below its carved shaft. The missing top may have broken off in a storm or been taken by curious hands, leaving behind a stub that still points upward. What remains is small enough to touch, yet heavy with the absent centuries it survived.

This, the lower portion of a cross-slab, stands 6.6m S of the church (ME049-004----) in Gallow graveyard (ME049-004001-). The stone leans to the east, measures 0.24m wide by 0.10m thick and, if erect, would be 0.75m high. The E face is carved with the lower part of a cross shaft (height 0.15m) with a T-shaped terminal.
