Galbally Graveyard surrounds medieval church ruins in County Limerick, marking a continuous layer of burial and memory. Its post-1700 stone wall encloses a rectangular area about 46m north-south and 76m east-west, with a southern gate admitting visitors into the old field. The ruins stand at the centre like a forgotten altar, while the surrounding graves suggest that people kept returning to this exact place long after the church fell silent.
