What is recorded here

Indicated is a stone ringfort on a north-facing hillside in County Longford, Ireland. Its low drystone wall still outlines an oval space thirty-five metres across, though the entrance has vanished and the wall barely rises a metre in places. The fort has no ditch, suggesting it relied on height and presence rather than defensive depth. It may have been a home, a boundary marker, or a place where people gathered before roads and towns shaped the landscape.

On a N-facing hillside. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. A raised oval area (35m E-W; 30m N-S) enclosed by a partially denuded low wall of drystone masonry (Wth 3-3.6m; H 0.1-1m). There is no trace of a fosse and the original entrance is not recognisable.
