Fulacht Fiadh

In pasture. Grass-covered spread of burnt material under c. 0.1m of dark humic soil. Probably one of six fulachta fiadh recorded by Bowman (1934, 116) in Glenlara townland: two in Denis Murphy's land; one each in B. O'Keeffe's land, Nicholas D. Kenneally's land, Nicholas C.
