Fulacht fia in Knocknacolan

In pasture, c. 120m N of stream. Grass-covered spread of burnt material (diam. c. 18m). According to local information, spring formerly in field. Probably one of three fulachta fiadh (11255, 11257) recorded by Bowman (1934, 526) on Mr Philpott's land. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
