Cliff-edge fort in Corbally (duhallow By.)

In pasture, on N edge of and above steep-sided stream valley. Depicted as penannular raised area (diam. c. 38m) defined by hachured scarp W->SE and by straight-sided cliff face on SW side on 1937 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; arc formed by low rise (max. int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.5m) survives to NW and N. Recorded by Bowman (1934, 416) as levelled fort in Jerh. Linehan's land, 'single-ramparted... diameter was about 30 yards'.
