Fulacht fia in Killavallig

Killavallig holds a horseshoe of burnt stone beside a holy well, marking a place where heat and water met before churches claimed the land. The mound still lies low in reclaimed pasture, its opening facing south as if waiting for hands to stack firewood and feed the basin. People may have gathered there to cook, clean or transform ordinary things through steam, while the well stood ready to give back life.
