What is recorded here

Three fulacht fia and a ruined wedge tomb cluster on level pastureland near Gleninagh tower house, suggesting a busy medieval cooking or bathing place rather than a single isolated event. People may have heated stones, dropped them into water, and prepared food or cleaned bodies while the Atlantic spray reached the grass. The repeated use of nearby heat pits implies that Gleninagh was not only defended but also lived in, with ordinary bodily needs placed close to the tower.

On level pastureland c. 25m S of a storm beach and c. 30m to NNW of Gleninagh tower house (CL002-007001-). An oval NW–SE orientated mound (L 8.6m; max. Wth 6.2m; H 0.5m) of grassed-over stone. A larger more well-defined fulacht fia (CL002-007004-) is located c. 60m to the W and a further possible example (CL002-007006-) lies c. 45m to SSW.
