Set into a SW-facing hillside. Named ‘Penal chapel’ on Tim Robinson’s map (1977) and described by Cunningham (1980, 27-8) as a tiny crude building (3m x 4m) with a small ante-room (3m x 2m). On inspection in 1997 a tumble of stones survived (traceable L 12m; Wth 4-6m) aligned NNE-SSW. There were no obvious wall- or foundation stones. The area was very overgrown with hazel and the stone collapse was moss covered. A bullaun stone (CL002-063001-) mentioned by Cunningham was not in evidence.
