Fulacht fia in Carrowkeel (tirerrill By., Templevanny Ed) is a fulacht fia in Carrowkeel (tirerrill By., Templevanny Ed), County Sligo, Ireland. It is a low kidney-shaped mound, 6m north-south, 10m east-west and 0.5m high, made of stones in charcoal-blackened soil. The mound lies in a wetland area about 5m east of a stream and is one of six sites found near the N4 road works. A burnt spread is immediately south and a holy well is about 30m west.
In a wetland area, c. 5m E of a stream. One of a cluster of six sites (SL040-030002-; SL040-030003-; SL040-031003-; SL040-230001-; SL040-230002-) found during monitoring of the realignment of the N4 road from Hollybrook Estate to Castlebaldwin in the Summer of 1998 (Desmond 1998, 12). A low kidney-shaped mound (6m N-S; 10m E-W; H 0.5m) of stones in charcoal blackened soil, overlain with sod and a thin layer of peat and topsoil. Following recording the site was covered with geo-textile, peat and topsoil and remains undisturbed. There is a burnt spread (SL040-031003-) immediately to S and a holy well (SL040-031----) c. 30m to W. (Desmond 2000, 183-4)
