Enclosure in Cloghoge Lower

In rolling pasture, near the top of an E-facing slope at the base of the Bricklieve Mountains. An oval flat-topped hillock (max. H 1.9m) on which several trees have been planted. A wall which marks the townland boundary between Cloghoge Lower and Carrowkeel forms the SE perimeter. Some sod-covered stones at N and the remains of a wall (T 2.1m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.6m) at W may indicate the remains of an enclosing element. The interior is sloping and uneven. A holy well (SL040-031----) lies c. 10m to NE and two possible fulachtaí fia (SL040-030002-; SL040-030003-) c. 50m to S.
