Barrahaurin held a fulacht fia where hot stones threw water into rolling steam. People may have cooked meat, cleaned tools or gathered beside the hiss while rain tapped the pasture. They imagined marrow separating from bone and friends appearing from the white fog. Trucks arrived in 1992, flattened the mound and carried the stones elsewhere.
