Ardgroom Outward holds a horseshoe-shaped fulacht fia on the lower slopes of Tooreennamna Mountain, its opening facing a wet area to the east. Sheep have worn a path through the grass and gorse, exposing heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil along the north side. Two boulders still mark the opening, while a standing stone and stone circle wait nearby in the rough pasture. The site suggests people once heated water, cooked food or cleaned tools beside the bog, using the mountain slope as a working kitchen rather than a ceremonial stage.

In rough hill pasture, on cutaway bog on the lower N-facing slopes of Tooreennamna Mountain. A horseshoe-shaped mound (11.7m N-S; 9m E-W; H 1.6m) with its opening (Wth 3.4m) facing a wet area immediately to the E. The mound is covered with grass and gorse but a sheep path has exposed heat-shattered stones and charcoal-enriched soil along its N side. Two boulders lie in the opening and the remains of an old field wall runs up to the crest of the mound on the S side. There is a standing stone (CO102-006002-) c. 50m to the WSW and a stone circle (CO102-006001-) c. 70m to the WSW. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
