Glencar Isd is a small oval island at the east end of Glencar Lough, disputed by two O'Rourke branches in 1541 when the water was called Glen Dallain. It measures fourteen metres east-west and five metres north-south, rising only twenty centimetres above the surface. Grass and scrub cover every inch, leaving no trace of artificial construction despite its crannog name. The dispute suggests people valued the place enough to fight over it, even if nothing built remains visible today.

At the E end of Glencar Lough. The eastern crannog in Glencar Lough, then known as Glen Dallain, was disputed by two branches of the O'Rourke in 1541 (AFM vol. 5, 1463-5). This feature is an oval grass and scrub-covered island (dims 14m E-W; 5m N-S; H 0.2m) with no evidence of artificial construction.
